Anyeong Cebu!

{September 23, 2011}   Korean Food Tradition: Kimbap

Kim-Bap is Korean kind of fast food. This is the only fast food I’ve known so far that’s very healthy.  It’s mainly dried Kim/Gim (seaweed) wrapped around sticky Asian rice filled/stuffed with meat, vegetables, or/and fruits.  It can be done in less than 10 minutes when you have the ingredients ready.  Most Korean restaurants in Cebu have this on their menu with very affordable prices.  Especially at Chukumi in Lahug, they serve this as side dish (so free!), unlimited. We tried making this at home with some Koreans we know and here’s a video of our imperfect but delicious and fun-to-make Kimbap.  It shows also how fun it is hanging out with these Koreans.
